What Is Paint Correction?
Paint Correction is a simple defect removal process we perform on every vehicle before applying a ceramic coating. Because ceramic coatings are a form of permanent paint protection, we need to ensure that the surface is as scratch free as possible so that the nano ceramic coating can bond properly to the car paint. We know how car’s here in Brewster, NY have to endure crazy weather, and the fact is… paint defects are inevitable. We want to create a flawless finish before installing any form of permanent paint protection to keep your vehicle in TOP condition!
Remove The Paint Imperfections & Reveal The Gloss
Have you looked at your paint under the sun and saw a web of swirls scratches? These are called micro-scratches and that’s what hinders your car from shining.
How did they get there in the first place? The biggest culprit is usually improper washing and drying methods. Automatic car washes, using low-quality towels or wash mitts can all lead to abrading your paint and installing imperfections.
With paint correction, you can remove up to 95% of those swirls and scratches to bring out an incredible shine and gloss for your vehicle.
When this is done properly, the results are amazing! It’ll look like your car just had a brand-new paint job installed. So if you’ve wanted to add life back to your car, then this is the best option to get the “Wow!” factor.
Paint correction requires a substantial more time and energy with a wide variety of polishers, polishes, compounds, pads, towels, and most importantly, skill and patience to achieve the desired end-results.
There’s a lot of Putnam detail shops with inexperienced “detailers” that can get it done in an hour or two. The reality is your car is left in a worse condition than when you arrived. We get calls from customers like that all the time.

Paint Polishing FAQs
Do you offer ceramic coatings?
Absolutely! We offer a 1, 3, 6, & 10+ year ceramic coating for all vehicles (at an additional price). You can also stay with the more traditional wax or sealant at no additional price.
How long do the results last?
This is a “it depends” kind of answer. After the paint is polished, it comes down to how well you maintain the vehicle afterwards. If you take it through a $5 car wash, you can easily get back to square one in a matter of weeks.
If you properly wash and dry your vehicle, the results will stay for a much longer than compared to if you use a dirty towel and water to wash your vehicle.
Do you have a shop?
No! We offer all our paint correction and ceramic coating services at our costumer location (having a garage is a plus). Depending on the level of work, it can take 2 to 3 days to complete the service.
What’s the difference between your 1 step and 2 step paint correction?
Our 1 step paint polishing will remove 60 to 80% of the imperfections in your paint.
The 2 step paint correction removes around 90% of the imperfections in your paint.
For most vehicles, the 1 step will be just fine. For those that really want the most results, the 2 step is your option.
