What is the process of applying a Ceramic Coating?

Applying a Ceramic Coating the right way is a long process. Your paint needs to be completely clean. At AL’s Mobile Detailing we start by hand washing your vehicle to remove any visible dirt. We then remove any tar, bugs and bird droppings. To allow the Ceramic Coating to adhere properly the paint needs to be completely decontaminated with a clay bar and iron remover. This will make your paint very smooth. To enhance the durability of your coating a paint correction is necessary. The level of correction depends on what you want and the condition of the vehicle. Once all of that is done, your paint is ready to be Ceramic Coated!

How Long does it take?

The time varies on each job. The level of paint correction and the size of your vehicle are the biggest factors. Depending on the correction a Ceramic Coating could take anywhere from 6 to 15 hours.
